Americans Love The Eggplant: Emoji Study Reveals Our Unique Texting Habits

A new SwiftKey study is the most comprehensive study on emoji usage to date. The study reveals details about how Americans and others around the world use emojis.

Fusion writer Cara Rose DeFabio has earned the unofficial title of "emoji scholar." That's because DeFabio pays very close attention to the details of how people use emojis to express emotion in text messages and to represent their unique identities online.

After the most comprehensive emoji study to date was released last month by SwiftKey, DeFabio spoke with Janaya Williams of WWNO's Tech and Innovation Desk about what our emoji choices say about us.
